Your account and game data
AURA uses your existing Google or Apple sign-in through Firebase Authentication. Firebase stores your account identifier, handle, Aura score, streak, event category, one-sentence note, timestamps, peer verdicts, friendships and duel records. An internet connection is required to bank events and settle results.
Who can see your receipts
Your event receipts are readable by you and the friend you tag. Friendship and duel records are visible to their participants. User profiles are not a public directory. Friend lookup requires an exact handle. There is no global leaderboard.
When you share an Aura Card, its image includes your handle, note, awarded points and balance at issue. Your chosen destination controls that shared copy. AURA cannot recall images other people save.
Notifications and diagnostics
When you enable notifications, we store a device push token and use Expo and platform push services to deliver friend requests, voting prompts and duel results. A voting prompt can include the event note and may appear on the recipient’s lock screen. You can disable notifications in your profile.
Firebase Analytics records limited navigation and interface usage. Our analytics layer excludes notes, handles, account identifiers and scores from custom event parameters. Firebase Crashlytics may process technical diagnostics, app and OS versions and device information.
Storage and deletion
AURA keeps game data until you delete your account or the service removes it. Choose Delete Account in your profile. Deletion voids any open duel so nobody takes the pot, then removes your account, owned receipts, votes, friendships, duel records, device push tokens and pending notifications from the operational database. Other players’ receipts can retain a verdict, with your witness identity removed. Shared Aura Card images and provider-managed diagnostic retention are separate.
Older releases may have left local records on your device. The new game does not read or convert those records into Aura points. Account deletion also clears known legacy app storage.
